Beth Moore, JMAC, and Erick Erickson

On this episode of Polemics Report for October 21, JD talks about the news topics of the day, then plays audio of John MacArthur’s comments regarding Beth Moore. Finishing the podcast, JD responds to Erick Erickson, a conservative Christian commentator who tried to shame MacArthur with accusation he did not try to substantiate and by talking out both sides of his mouth.

Timely podcast. I don’t like centralized denominations. Bad idea. Catholic church proves it. SBC has become greater than God. They seem power hungry rather than hungry for God and his.glory. Anyway, I wish folks would stop.dragging out that document by John Knox on the Monstrous Regiment of Women. The bible is sufficient for how women are to be regarded. He says things about women that the bible does not and paint womens in a demeaning and negative light. He let his emotions of anger at the gross sin and brutality of a lost idolator on the throne of England (and a couple other lost pagan woman in authority) drive him to write that document. I am not critical of him as he endured some horrible things, but I think the people today who roll that document out when we see women rebelling against the word of God. Beth Moore is as lost and confused as someone in the Bermuda Triangle. She is for the goats. The men who give her platform and the silly women who listen to her. That is my opinion. I think women’s ministries and women teaching beyond what Paul says in Titus is the problem. Even women like Michelle Lesley. She should not be teaching theology and discernment to women. She is not a heretic by no means, but she should not do that and this leads to fools like Beth Moore. Kay Arthur, Michelle Lesley, Martha Peace, etc need to stop teaching theology on these platforms. They are to minister in their churches to the younger women on how to love their husbands and children. What they are doing is not modeled in scripture. They need to “Go Home!” too. I haven’t yet heard anyone question their husbands leadership of them for condoning what they do.
